about

Following a busy 2023 that included a EU tour, being part of the year's Keychange cohort and dropping a series of alternately banging and dreamy hyperpop-tinged singles, Northern Norwegian artist/producer Maud is releasing her new album «The Loves That Remains» on 16 February 2024.

Since making waves as one of the brightest new names coming out of the legendary Norwegian electronic music scene, Maud’s undeniable potential has secured her nationwide spins on national radio and coveted featuring on festival line-ups at the likes of Bime PRO, Tallinn Music Week, Øyafestivalen, Festspillene i Nord-Norge and Trænafestivalen.

The Love That Remains is, in Maud's own words «a capsule of longing, melancholia, nostalgia, transformation and self-love» set to a soundtrack of the Norwegian's fast-becoming-trademark hyperpop, club music, trance and Eurodance vibes, as well as 90s and 2000s pop music. The album title takes its inspiration from the Portuguese term saudade which means a form of melancholic longing for something or someone you used to care about.

On the album, Maud guides the listener through the stages of love, the breakup and the aftermath and the album's sonic template reflects the highs and lows therein. The music shifts from club-ready bops to melancholic electronic interludes, all linked by a gorgeous trance-like cloud of ambient sounds.

The Love That Remains is out 16 February on Maud Records.
